Facility Grant Leaders
Grant Leader -
Thanks to your heartfelt efforts, the Hope Fund launch has been a great success! With your help, we've provided more than $11 million in aid to over 10,500 employees since September 2005.
As we continue to raise awareness about the Fund, you'll still play an important role in getting the word out to your employees. On this site you'll find updated tools and information to make your job easier, including:
- Guideline reminders and changes
- Tips on running committee meetings
This website is designed for you. If you have ideas on how to make it better, please email the Hope Fund staff at HopeFund@HCAHealthcare.com.
Your next steps
1. Review this site. Check out your tools and resources.
2. Form your facility Hope Fund Committee.
- Grant Leader must be from HR due to the confidential nature of the information.
- Recruit 4 to 7 volunteers to serve with you on the committee. These members can be current part-time or full-time employees. The committee should include both management and non-management employees.
- Members should have some scheduling flexibility.
- Members should be diverse and representative of the workforce.
- Members do not have to be active donors to the Hope Fund.
- Members serve a term of two years.
3. Hold committee orientation.
- All committee members should attend orientation to get up-to-speed on their duties.
Members should:
- Know the fund’s purpose
- Be able to explain the different ways to give
- Review and understand the application form and recommendation form
- Discuss fundraising activities and related plans
4. Be prepared to handle applications and employee questions.
Your local Hope Fund Committee:
- Reviews blind applications and confirms eligibility using fund criteria and guidelines
- Provides recommendation via the local committee recommendation form
- Maintains confidentiality of all applications and recommendations
- Provides feedback/counsel related to local fundraising ideas and helps foster fund awareness
- Provides feedback on guidelines
