Michalle's Story

The storms and tornado that occurred on April 27, 2011 left not only my home devastated but also my emotions. Being a single parent of a college student and a senior in high school, I feared that I would not have the money that my homeowners insurance required for the deductible. I was not prepared for this overwhelming burden. However, being employed by HCA for several years, I recalled the help others received from the HCA Hope Fund. I inquired about assistance for my circumstance and within one day I was approved without any complications.

For this reason, and many more, I am proud to be a part of something that cares not only about providing healthcare to others but also supporting their employee’s. The Hope Fund was able to alleviate stress and facilitate a speedy process of making my home, once again, habitable. Thank you HCA and to everyone who contributes to this fund.
