Caring colleagues give hope to Med Unit Secretary experiencing cardiac distress
Tags:

Dietra Turner, a 71-year-old medical-surgical unit secretary at HCA Florida Blake Hospital in Bradenton, woke up one morning with severe chest pain. Recognizing the seriousness of her symptoms, she sought emergency medical care right away.
Over the next two days, she underwent testing and monitoring. Her physician ordered an emergency heart catheterization. The procedure was successful, but Dietra missed several more days of work, and bills began to mount.
She remembered the HCA Healthcare Hope Fund, and enjoyed reading the stories of those helped by it.
When she learned she qualified for assistance, she was incredibly grateful. “I stopped and thanked God right then,” she said. “I knew He had opened this door for me.”
Dietra is still being monitored, but she’s back to work and will never forget the compassionate help from her colleagues through the Hope Fund.
