Lisa’s colleagues helped her after a serious diagnosis

Our colleague Lisa needed help after she was diagnosed with a rare condition called skeletal sarcoidosis. After losing her husband last year, she was already living on a tight budget.

Expenses related to her care piled up quickly, and eventually she wasn’t able to keep up with them and her normal household bills. She received the help she needed when she turned to the Hope Fund. Lisa said, “I just burst into tears. I was so relieved!”

To her colleagues who give, she added, “What you do is amazing. You show up and help people.”
